Q - What are John and Graham’s qualifications? A - We have between us over 40 years experince and worked for many of the world's top newspapers and magazines at home and abroad.
Q - Do I need to have some experience in photography before I can come on a course? A - Basically no. We can tailor the tuition to suit your level of experience.
Q - Is there an age limit for the tuition? A - Yes. We do not accept anyone under the age of 16 years.
Q - Are the courses for digital or film photography? A - We will be using digital photography. Although all photography is based on the same fundamental principle s, it is far more practical to teach the modern digital techniques, and easier to review the pictures at the end of the day.
Q - I own just a simple automatic camera. Do I need good equipment to come on a course. A - Not at all. I can show you how to get better pictures from the simplest point-and-shoot camera.
Q - What do I need to bring with me? A - Some of your previous work - if you have some - because this is our starting point. Your camera equipment, film or memory cards, batteries and warm/wet weather clothing including wellie boots if you have them. Most important of all, come with an open mind and a sense of humour - we prefer happy people.
Q - Do I need to bring a tripod? A - Not if you don’t want to. However, for some more advanced techniques it is essential .
Q - How do I get to Málaga? A - Budget airlines, well as BA and fly to Málaga. The prices of flights can be checked here: www.skyscanner.net
Q - How do i get to and from the airport? A - You will be collected from Málaga airport at 3pm on the day and taken to the hotel. You will leave the hotel at 10am to be taken to Málaga airport. The transfer time is about 2 hours. Please arrange your flights to fit in with this arrangement.
Q - Where will I stay? A - You will stay in the beautiful and tranquil family run hotel Los Castanos hotel , in the Andalucian village of Cartajima, outside Ronda
Q - What is Cartajima like? A - Cartajima, is a small “pueblo blanco” in the Serranía de Ronda, described as the most starkly beautiful areas of Andalucía. Rough Guide to Andalucía.
Q - Is there any back-up to help me after the course? A - You will have course notes which you are welcome to take away with you.
Q - How a long is the course? A - The course lasts 6 nights, 7 days.
Q - How much will it cost? A - The price is £695. Based on 2 people sharing a room. None photographer price £550.
Q - What is included? A - Breakfast and evening meal with wine, transfers to and from the airport.
Q - What is not included? A - Flights to Spain. Travel insurance, lunches.
Q - What time does the day start and finish? A - Normally from about 9.30 until 4.30pm. Although an early morning, evening sessions to catch the dawn/dusk will be planned. | |
