| TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. A non-refundable deposit of £200 per person is required at the time of booking and must be sent with the completed booking form. 2. The balance of the holiday price is due 6 weeks prior to the departure date. If this last payment does not reach us by the date specified, We reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and retain the deposit. If a booking is made 6 weeks or less before the departure date the full amount is payable at the time of booking. 3. Cancellation must be made in writing. The date the letter is received by us before departure date determines the cancellation charges applicable. These charges are expressed as a percentage of the tota l tour price, and are as follows: More than 28 days: 50%.More than 15 days: 70%. 15 days or less before departure 100%. If the cancellation is covered under the terms of an insurance policy you may be able to relaim these charges. 4. We reserve the right to change or cancel your course. The very nature of the course offered requires flexibility by all parties and must allow for alternatives. For this reason the outline itinerary and holiday description must be taken as an indication of what may take place on the holiday, and not as a contractual obligation. 5. Receipt of a deposit does not imply acceptance of a booking. We will confirm acceptance of your booking in writing. 6. If the minimum number of bookings required to run a course is not met, and if we have to cancel a course for this reason, we will not do so less than 30 days prior to departure. 7. In the event of us being unable to attend due to illness or other circumstances beyond our control, the course will be cancelled and your own travel insurance should insure you against this unlikely possibility. 8.We reserve the right to change any of the prices, service or other particulars contained on the holiday website at any time. If there is any change, we will notify you immediately. 9. We do not accept liability for any loss or additional expense caused by delay or interruption to travel services through weather conditions, civil disturbance, industrial action, strikes, wars, floods, sickness or force majeure. Such losses or additional expenses are the responsibility of the passenger. Force majeure represents unusual and unforeseeable circumstances such as war or the threat of war, riots, terrorist activity, civil strife, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, flood or adverse weather conditions 10. We do not accept responsibility or liability for death, bodily injury or illness caused to the client or any other person included on the booking form. Any claims sh ¶all be subject to English law in respect of any question of liability or quantum, and all proceedings shall be within the sole domain of the English courts. 11. You must communicate any perceived failure in the performance of this contract at the time to us and give us the opportunity to arrive at a satisfactory solution. 12. It is a term of the contract between us that you will obtain the appropriate travel insurance cover before you set out on the holiday. The insurance must cover the loss, expenses and damages arising from, including but not limited to, the cancellation of the holiday (whether in whole or in part), personal accident, death and injury, medical and repatriation costs (for overseas holidays), loss of baggage and personal money and effects and flight cancellations and delays. 13. We reserve the right to provide an alternative tutor in the event of his inability to attend due to ill-health or other emergency. 14. All clients must be in possession of a valid passport and all visas, permits and certificates, including medical certificates required for the whole of the journey and the client accepts responsibility for obtaining the same. All information and advice given by John Snowdon is given in good faith. 15. By signing the booking form, you are agreeing to accept all these conditions. The person who signs the booking form does so on behalf of all the individuals included on it, so that all are bound by the booking conditions. 16. Although it is unlikely that we will need to make changes to your holiday unless they are imposed on us by flight schedule alterations, we reserve the right to do so subject to complying with the conditions herein set out. Most such changes would be minor and will be notified to you as quickly as possible. If a major change occurs (unless caused by force majeure - see 11 above) you will have the choice of accepting the change or cancelling your holiday and receiving a full refund. In all cases we will pay compensation as detailed below. Period before departure within which change is notified to you: 42 days = £10 compensation per person. 14 days = £20. Up to time of departures = £30. Compensation will not be payable if we are forced to cancel or in any way change your holiday due to war, threat of ë war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, fire, adverse weather conditions or other circumstances amounting to force majeure. | |
